Here are a few of the collages I’ve been working on for the Little Things show at Guardino Gallery, which runs from November 23 through the end of December. All of the work has to be under 7″, so these are on 6×6″ cradled panels.
Guardino Gallery has been one of my favorites for many years, so I’m thrilled to be invited to participate in their annual holiday show, Little Things. All of the work has to be smaller than 7″. I’ll be making a bunch of collages on 6×6″ cradled panels.
I submitted five paintings to the open show at the Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts. The show has a long history, as this was the 55th one! This year there were more than 1200 artworks entered. I’m very proud to be awarded a blue ribbon for “Living on Hope.”
Ten members of Westside ArtShare hung art at the Hillsboro Brookwood library gallery. Each explored the theme of “journeys” in a different way. I focused on the idea of personal, emotional journeys and used torn journal pages and lots of texture to create two 36 x 36″ pieces.
The show is on view until June 30.
I’m proud to announce that two of my paintings were juried into Beaverton Arts Mix! I really enjoyed visiting the show last year and seeing the breadth of work, so it’s exciting that my work will hang in it this year.
Here is one of the pieces that will be in the show, which runs October 5-8 at the Beaverton City Library.
…and I’m gearing up for the 3rd Annual Affordable Art for Everyone. We have a full show this year and I’m excited to see all of the art and artists under one roof.
I’m also getting my own work ready and making sure I’ll have everything I need for my booth. In addition to paintings, I’ll be bringing some new stitched ornaments and some older ornaments and cat toys that I used to sell on Etsy.
Less than 5 days away!!
This is a painting I finished in March. It’s now hanging at the Grand Opening exhibit at Tappen Studios in SE Portland along with several other paintings of mine and work by four other artists. The show is up until the end of July.
I’m honored to be invited to participate in the Grand Opening of Tappen Studios along with four other local artists (Shauna Meiri, Dawn Tappen, Pegguin Pfenniger Reed and Alexis Terry Bouchard). Join us on May 27 to celebrate the opening of this new gallery and workshop space in SE Portland!
I’m very happy to find out that my “Sancho” is one of the paintings that have already sold at the Black + White + One show. There’s still lots of art to see at the new Insomnia on Main St in Hillsboro until the end of April!
“Inez” is one of my little characters for the Black + White + One show. Thanks to everyone who came out for the reception last night!
